The characters on television that we all know and love are most often a huge contrast to who they are in real life. It could be their appearance or personality that is not at all how they are when they are off the set. You will find, in most cases, that they do not resemble their beloved characters in any way shape or form. Emilia plays Daenerys Targaryen who is most known for her striking white hair. Emilia was 25-years-old when she began playing the 17-year-old character on the hit show Game of Thrones. This Mother of Dragons is a hugely popular character that showed the actress how to embrace feminism and to be a strong woman who fights inequality. Conleth was originally cast to play the role of King Rober Baratheon but ended up taking the role of Varys. On Game of Thrones, his character is bald. In real life, Conleth has a full head of hair. In real life, she is just as honest and upfront as she is on the show, but she looks way different than her character, Amy. She does not wear glasses and loves to wear makeup unlike her character on The Big Bang Theory.

Ariel plays a character that is close to her own age. Her appearance on TV and off are is hugely different. On TV, she is a nerd who dresses very conservatively. In real life, she wears revealing outfits that are a strong contrast to her character on Modern Family.

Ellen plays a surgical intern on the hit show Grey's Anatomy. She is one of the highest paid actresses on television. In real life, she does not wear scrubs and is a stylish mother of three with a great smile who also loves to live an adventurous life.
7 Orange Is The New Black: Suzanne (Uzo Aduba)
By far one of the most beloved characters from the hit Netflix show, Orange is the New Black, is Crazy Eyes, Suzanne, played by Uzo Aduba. She has won two Emmys for this role playing a mentally ill woman who the fans of the show have grown to love. In real life, Uzo does not rock short dreads and a no-makeup look. She is a fashionable woman who always looks glamourous off-set.
8 Vikings: Floki (Gustaf Skarsgard)
Gustaf plays a religious zealot, Floki, in Vikings. Unlike his character, who is bald and wears makeup and has head tattoos, in real life he is clean cut with a short beard and hair.
